Weider X Factor – Review – 1st Gen vs. 2nd Gen

There is no physical difference between the 1st gen and the 2nd gen X factor, but there is a physical difference between the 2.1 edition of the X factor and the 1st gen and the 2nd gen. Weider made a change to the arrangement of the bands where the 60 lb band got moved to the middle as opposed to the end. The thing is, I don’t think there are any version 2.1 in stores. But if you were to open the box and notice that the thickest band is in the middle then you would definitely know that it’s a 2nd gen X factor. Just make sure you double check that the bolts that hold the pulley assemblies are tight. This mainly just applies to ver 2.1, but doesn’t hurt to double check regardless of which X factor you get. la196, Unfortunately, the model number is the same. They didn’t change the number or anything on the actual box. If there’s no restocking fee, then you can just return it if it is a 1st gen. Of course, buying from Weider is the safest choice. Maybe if you order through Walmart site to store, you might get a 2nd gen. If not, then just return it. Or if you do get a 1 gen, call Weider and complain. They might ask you to either send a copy of your receipt or return it to the store. But just tell them, that the store will just end up exchanging it for another bad one.
